WELCOME TO HERBIES BIKES
Your Satisfaction is Our Priority
WHAT WE’RE ALL ABOUT
Herbies Bikes was established in 2007 with one mission: to bring a reliable, high quality Bicycle Repair Shop to the Central Scotland area and to sell good quality bicycles that inspire you to get out and ride more.
Our passion for excellence: a job done once and done right is what inspired us to open up our shop, and continues to drive us to this day. All our repairs are completed with meticulous detail, resulting in a product that is as good or better than new where possible.
Herbies bikes is committed to making your life easier with convenient and comprehensive support when you need it most, thats why we only sell Merida Bicycles in our store - with road, XC, MTB EBike, commuters and kids bikes available to buy.
We normally dont sell bikes online - we prefer you to come instore so we can chat through your specific riding requirements and size you up on the right bike because if you are comfortable you will ride more. However, we are aware that we now need to have an online presence, so we are going to showcase a few of the bikes available and offer click and collect - that way we can still ensure you have the correct bike, that its set-up for you and you know how to look after it.
We also participate in the Cyclesheme and Cycle Plus tax free bikes to work schemes where you can purchase a hugely discounted bike through your wages and pay it back over a year.
Interest free finance available in-store ask to speak to Marie about your options and payment plans.
You've watched the YouTube clip, bought the part online for a much lower price than that ripoff bike shop (imagine wanting a wage at the end of the week - pah!) tried to fit it, you even bought the tool - I mean, how hard can it be, its only a bike. And you've buggered it up!
Bring it in - we'll resucitate it for you.
for a small fee obviously....
and maybe a teeny weeny bit of abuse
Our Cytech qualified expert bicycle mechanic Herbie provides all the services you need with a dedication to quality and efficiency.
We don't do service plans.
We believe that each bicycle is an individual and should be treated as one thats why its service will be based upon what it needs and what your budget is.
Herbie wants you to enjoy riding your bike so will make it work to the best of his ability. He will often go above and beyond utilising his engineering skills to make sure your bike is the best it can be or he will explain to you in laymans terms why something is not possible..
We want you to be satisfied with the result.
By Appointment at present
phone before you come along
We are generally open for collection / drop off and appointments Tuesday - Friday 9.30 - 5pm.
Outwith that the door is locked so we can get on with servicing
- if that doesn't you suit let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
At present the workshop is having to prioritise our regular customers
- so if you bought it here or have had it regularly maintained by Herbie please say so in the contact form.
To view or discuss a new bike please call or contact us and speak to Marie
We're in Dobies Heat Centre yard. There is car parking in front of the shop and a bicycle stand by the door. The kettle may be on, make a cuppa if we're busy and chill until we can get to you.
Herbie and Marie are the husband and wife team behind Herbies Bikes.
Herbie is the technophobic master mechanic who may be slightly grumpy but makes it his mission to fix everything.
Marie does all the other stuff involved in running a business - its her who will answer your messages when she's not busy taping handlebars, applying protective 3M tape to new frames or plugging in ebikes
We’re driven by our dedication to be the best bicycle repair shop we can, and we know our customers feel the difference - they travel to us from all across the central belt of Scotland for that classic combination of attention to detail, cheek, a wee cup of tea and integrity! We can’t help but smile every time someones picks up their newly repaired item and comments on how good it feels now - it means we’ve done our job right.
